SISHK’s June 2017 IGCSE Results

Singapore International School (Hong Kong) congratulates our seventh secondary cohort on their performance for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in the June 2017 session. Across the 16 subjects offered by these students, 68% of the grades are distinction grades (A and A*), of which 58% are A*. Overall, 55% of the cohort attained 7 distinctions or above.

The cohort was also enrolled for the International Certificate of Education (ICE), which recognises the achievements of students who qualify and have performed well across different disciplines, i.e. Languages, Humanities and Social Science, Sciences, Mathematics, and Creative, Technical and Vocational subjects. Students are awarded Distinction, Merit, or Pass based on their performances across these subjects. We are proud to share that 18% and 75% of the cohort obtained Merit and Distinction for the ICE Award respectively.

53 students of our eighth secondary cohort also sat for the IGCSE Mathematics in the June 2017 session. These students sat for this exam one year ahead of their cohort. 98% of this cohort obtained A or A*, of whom 96% obtained A*.

We applaud our students for the effort they have put in to reap the commendable results. We would also like to thank our parents, who stood steadfast with the school in the holistic development of our students.
