Lunch and Learn: An Introduction to Global University Systems
The University Counselling team at SISHK will be holding a seminar for SISHK parents on May 8, titled “Lunch and Learn: An Introduction to Global University Systems”. This event is the first in our new Lunch and Learn series, designed to provide you with valuable insights and information as you support your child through the university planning process.
Significant differences exist between the higher education systems in various countries. These variations include length of study, admission requirements and amount of academic flexibility. These differences can make one school a great fit and another a poor choice for the same student.
In this introductory seminar, we will provide an overview of higher education in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Europe and Hong Kong. We will highlight some of the key similarities and differences across these systems, including factors that may influence where students focus their university search.
