University of Exeter School of Sport and Health Sciences: “Steps to Success at Hong Kong Sevens: Rugby Performance and Player Welfare”
To achieve peak performance, especially under the pressures of a tournament setting, players need to prepare and recover effectively physically and mentally. Sport science research at the University of Exeter is informing evidence-based strategies to reduce injury risk, perform optimally when under extreme pressure and provide the right nutrition and nutraceuticals to speed recovery and sustain performance.
The talk will be offered by Professor Joanna Bowtell and Dr Bert Bond from the School of Sport and Health Sciences and Professor Huw Williams from the School of Psychology at the University of Exeter
