Enrolment for New Students
Dear Parents,
Thank you for choosing Singapore International School (Hong Kong) for your child. To confirm your acceptance of the SISHK admission offer for your child, please read and follow the instructions below with regards to:
A. The Enrolment Process
- Complete the Acceptance of Offer form and email it to admissions@singapore.edu.hk.
- Make payment of Entrance Fee, Personal/Corporate Debenture and/or Capital Levy to confirm acceptance of offer.
- The school’s Enrolment Officer will be in contact with you on induction information and registration forms. Complete and return all registration forms.
B. The Fee Schedule
There are four different types of fees which the school charges. They are:
- Personal/Corporate Debenture
- Entrance Fee
- Capital Levy
- School Fee
All students are required to hold either a Personal or Corporate Debenture at the point of enrolment. Each debenture is valid for the enrolment of one student only. Fees payable on acceptance of an offer are dependent on which the type of debenture being purchased as below:
Upon accepting an offer of admission to SISHK, all offer holders are to arrange for the payment of the following:-
- Entrance Fee – HK$13,000
- Personal Debenture – HK$200,000
- Capital Levy – HK$20,000
- One Term School Fees (please refer to School Fees table below)
The school can only confirm the school place for the offer holder after the receipt of these funds.
The Personal Debenture is redeemable six (6) months after the student leaves the school. During the period between the student’s departure from the school and the due date for redemption of the debenture, the “vacant” Personal Debenture can be transferred to a sibling of the student.
Upon accepting an offer of admission to SISHK, all offer holders are to arrange for the payment of the following:-
- Entrance Fee – HK$13,000
- Personal Debenture – HK$120,000
- Capital Levy – HK$20,000
- One Term School Fees (please refer to School Fees table below)
The school can only confirm the school place for the offer holder after the receipt of these funds.
The Personal Debenture is redeemable six (6) months after the student leaves the school. During the period between the student’s departure from the school and the due date for redemption of the debenture, the “vacant” Personal Debenture can be transferred to a sibling of the student.
The Corporate Debenture is valid for eight (8) years. During this period, the registered debenture holder is entitled to appoint one nominee at a time, subject to the terms and conditions of the Corporate Debenture. The parent should inform the school immediately when parent ceases to be an employee of the sponsoring company. Upon accepting an offer of admission to SISHK, all offer holders are to arrange for the payment of:
- Corporate Debenture – HK$500,000, and
- Capital Levy – HK$160,000 (one-off payment upon purchase of Corporate Debenture)
- One Term School Fees (please refer to School Fees table below)
The school can only confirm the school place for the offer holder after the receipt of these funds. New students who are nominees of a Corporate Debenture are exempt from paying the Entrance Fee.
Capital Levy
The Capital Levy is a pre-requisite for the purchase of a Personal Debenture and is payable on an annual basis.
For AY2019/20, the Capital Levy is HK$20,000 per annum.

Notes on school fees:
- Students in the Primary, Secondary and IBDP levels who are Singapore citizens are eligible for an annual fee subsidy of HK$16,100.
- Uniforms, school buses, lunch, snacks, school books, stationery and special CCAs are not included in the school fees. More information on these expenditure are available here.
- School fee settlement is compulsory by autopay arrangement and are payable on a quarterly basis.
- All fees and subsidies are correct at the time of publication and are subject to changes
- The school fees quoted here are approved by the Education Bureau, HKSAR Government.
C. Payment Methods
There are two payment methods to choose from, by cheque/bank draft or bank transfer. Kindly note that all bank charges are to be borne by the remitter. If any bank charges are passed onto the school, these charges will have to be settled before the offer holder is fully enrolled as a student of SISHK. After the receipt of the funds, the Enrolment Officer will be in contact shortly to complete the enrolment process.
By Cheque/Bank Draft
- Cheques or bank drafts should be drawn in favour of “The Singapore International School Foundation Limited“.
- Please write down the offer holder’s name and application reference number at the back of the cheque/bank draft.
- Postdated cheques will not be accepted.

By Bank Transfer
Kindly note that there are different bank accounts for the Preparatory and Primary Section and Secondary Section. Please include your child’s application number as a reference when making the bank transfer. After you have made bank transfer, please email admissions@singapore.edu.hk with the offer holder’s name, application number and proof of payment. The proof of payment can be a receipt or screenshot confirming the completion of the online transaction. The proof of payment needs to show
- Your details – your name and account number
- Our details –school account number
- Date – When the transfer was initiated
- Amount – The amount that you sent us

When making a bank transfer, please select the option "Charges are borne by the remitter".
Note about Bank Account Name - If there is insufficient place in the field for Bank Account Name, then please continue to the Bank Address field and write the "The Singapore International School Foundation Ltd." followed by the bank address. Please do not use any abbreviations or variations of the Bank Account Name to ensure that the bank transfer is processed successfully by the bank.
Withdrawals
If a situation arises whereby you would like to withdraw your child from SISHK after you made payment for the Personal/Corporate Debenture, Capital Levy and Entrance Fee, please inform the school of your intention at enrolment@singapore.edu.hk with the student’s name and application number. Please take note of the following:
For Personal Debenture holders
- If the notification of withdrawal is received by the school at least 14 days before the commencement of the new academic year, an administrative fee of HK$10,000 will be charged and the Entrance Fee and Personal Debenture will be refunded.
- If the notification of withdrawal is received by the school less than 14 days before the commencement of the new academic year, Entrance Fee will not be refunded and only the Personal Debenture (after deducting the Capital Levy for the year of entry and any outstanding charges) will be refunded.
For Corporate Debenture holders (for newly purchased debentures for AY2019/20)
- If the notification of withdrawal is received by the school at least 14 days before the commencement of the new academic year, the Capital Levy will be refunded and an administrative fee of HK$10,000 will be charged.
- If the notification of withdrawal is received by the school less than 14 days before the commencement of the new academic year, the Capital Levy will not be refunded and an administrative fee of HK$33,000 will be charged.
